Every species photo on AquaHarmony is sourced under an open license that permits our use. We only accept CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA, and the Pixabay License — we never use all-rights-reserved or non-commercial (CC BY-NC) images.
Where a license requires credit (CC BY and CC BY-SA), the photographer, source, and license are shown directly beneath the photo on that species’ page, linking back to the original. This page documents the overall policy; the per-photo credit is one click away from any thumbnail.
